If you bring in more than one soldier from other squads, they will share the engineer’s vehicle. In case of enemy vehicles on the battlefield, the engineers will repair the vehicle first (and the vehicle will take more damage). In case of enemy vehicles or structures on the battlefield, it will repair as its priority. Once repairs are completed, the engineer will then continue to work on the vehicle’s weapons.
Yes. The squad leader can be assigned a weapon to use. The weapon is selected using a weapon icon on the left hand side of the screen. While each button of that weapon can be equipped, the one on the left side is the default and is called the primary weapon. It will fire by pressing the R key.

As the name suggests, a Hummer is usually the vehicle of choice for the assault team and for some reason the American version tends to be more heavily armored than the German version.
